Energy Theatre was created in 2001 in AthensGreece by Depi Mavropoulou.

It is an experiential acting training method, which combines improvisation, physical theatre, and incorporates Western body psychotherapeutic methods (among others: Wilhelm Reich’s Character Analysis – Vegetotherapy) and Eastern therapeutic techniques.


Το Ενεργειακό Θέατρο δημιουργήθηκε το 2001 στην Αθήνα από την Ντέπυ Μαυροπούλου. Πρόκειται για βιωματικά μαθήματα υποκριτικής, αυτοσχεδιασμού και σωματικού θεάτρου σε συνδυασμό με δυτικές σωματικές ψυχοθεραπευτικές μεθόδους (Χαρακτηρανάλυση - Νευροφυτοθεραπεία του Βίλχελμ Ράιχ, και άλλων) και τεχνικές ανατολικής θεραπευτικής προσέγγισης.



About the course

This workshop will help you to understand reflective practice in dance, counselling and dance movement psychotherapy.
The focus will be on authentic movement, which combines imagination and movement.
You'll explore how these elements combine, and will consider the use of metaphors and symbols, and their relationship to well being.

You'll be taught by leading experts in the field of dance and psychotherapy. Dr Jill Bunce has worked as a dance psychotherapist since 1991 and Depi Mavropoulou is a licensed, practicing body psychotherapist.
In this workshop you'll consider how imagination and dance movement can combine together to have a therapeutic impact on an individual.
